What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is a clear liquid solution that consists of demineralized water and the raw material automotive urea (32.5%). It is the very pure solution of Diesel Exhaust Fluid, specially developed for engines running on diesel and equipped with a so-called SCR system (SCR being Selective Catalytic Reduction).
What does AdBlue do?
AdBlue is injected into the exhaust emissions of a diesel-powered engine to reduce the harmful NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions which cause damage to our environment into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. The exhaust gasses mixed with the AdBlue capor flow into a SCR- catalyst where a chemical reaction takes place.
