Launch X431 Tool may appear “Disaccording between software serial No. and Smartbox SN”, there is no vehicle software or “VCI has been registered under another account” or “The VCI you have been chosen belongs to another account”. Here share the related solutions to resolve these problems.
Problem 1: Disaccording between software serial No. and Smartbox SN or no vehicle software
The solution:
1.Delete vehicle software
Method 1: Delete single software
Tap User Info>> VCI
Select the exact device serial number
Back to the main menu
Tap Local Diagnose>> All
Long press and delete the vehicle software has disaccording problem (i.e. Audi)
Click “OK” to delete
Method 2: delete multiple car software
Tap User Info>> Diagnostic Software Clear>> Remove Software
Select the software you want to delete
2.Reinstall vehicle software
After deleting, tap Software Update on the main menu
Select the car software you desire and tap “Update” to download again.
After downloading, tap Local Diagnose to check if the car software appears in the software list.
Now the car software has been installed successfully and can be used normally.
Problem 2: This VCI has been registered under another account and the VCI you have been chosen belongs to another account
The solution:
Tap User Info>> Profile
Check the account you log in now, because you may log in with the wrong account.
Select Settings>> Log out
After logging out, tap Login on the main menu.
Select Retrieve Password
Input your device serial number and the real account that the device registered will be obtained automatically.
If you forget the password, you can set a new password.
Then log in with the right account.
Now the software is ready to use.
